Leuis Choi opened the scoring for Phamished just 2:06 into the first period, finishing a setup from Peter Lau and Matthew Evans. Ryan Kram answered for the Jollybees at 17:38, with Darwin Wong and Christopher Chau drawing the assists. Neither side found the net in the second period, sending the game into the third still level.
Phamished took control after the intermission. Jonathan Fitzgerald put his team ahead with a shorthanded empty-net goal, and Choi followed with his second of the night. Chad Paquette added a power-play marker, while Michael Pham completed the four-goal run. Kram scored his second goal for the Jollybees later in the period, but the deficit was already too large to erase.
Choi led the Phamished attack with two goals. Michael Pham finished with a goal and an assist, while Darren Rodenhizer and Morgan Keillor each recorded two assists. Paquette's goal was recorded as both a power-play goal and the game-winning goal.
Jonathan Yamada delivered a steady performance in the Phamished crease, stopping 25 of 27 shots for a .926 save percentage. At the other end, Jordan Tedesco made 27 saves on 31 shots; Phamished's remaining goal was scored into an empty net.
The Jollybees took four penalties for eight minutes, while Phamished was assessed one four-minute high-sticking penalty. Phamished capitalized on its opportunity and also produced a shorthanded goal, giving the special-teams battle a decisive role in the result.
